Golden Teacher

"Golden Teacher" - An original linocut block inspired by one of the most famous mushrooms, the Golden Teacher. I personified this mushroom into a female figure with a mushroom head. She is an older woman, to represent the wisdom held by these mushrooms. She is touching the earth to remain grounded, and reaching for the sun for cosmic inspiration. Other mushrooms surround her to remind her that she is never alone. I included some eyeballs on her tatas for some fun psychadelia :) All of my linocuts are hand carved and hand stamped. This artwork is a 2 layer process. First I print the gold sun, and then I print the black figure.

This print is available in limited edition of 40. All prints are signed and numbered. I printed these on 100 lb. whipped cream color French paper. All of my paper is hand torn and has 1-2 deckel (torn) edges.
