"Light of the Firefly" is inspired by the warm Summer months in the Southern USA when the fireflies light up the fields with their dance. They change the way one looks at a field, it is not simply a blank space of land, but it is full of life! Full of insects, critters, and full of flowers and mycology. In this painting I painted asters, poppies, and chanterelles, which are all in season together with the fireflies.
