Portrait of a Rhododendron Tree - Forest Painting - En Plein Air - Acrylic on Canvas

This painting I created en plein air, aka painted outside on location. I found a delightful spot near a mountain stream that was lined with rhododendrons. I tried to infuse the peace of this moment into my painting. The background was so sunny and light, this contrasted the darker understory where the rhododendrons live.
